Staff Accountant

Pinnacle Services is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our Finance Team! Pinnacle Service Inc. provides services to our individuals throughout the metro area through in-home care, community residential services, case management and other supportive programs. The staff accountant performs various accounting tasks within Pinnacle Services including, but not limited to, preparing month-end financial statements, maintaining, and reconciling balance sheets, and assisting junior staff as required.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinating accounting functions and programs.
• Preparing month end prepaid journal entries.
• Calculate and prepare monthly personal needs amounts, rent payments and monthly account reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliation.
• Assist with month-end and year end close procedures for multiple subsidiaries.
• Process billings for Rule 185 and VADD as needed.
• Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs and procedures.
• Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned.
• Maintaining and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts monthly.
• Record and post bi-weekly RA payments.
• Assist with investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies and issues with non-compliance.
• Completing special projects as directed by the Controller.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of GAAP experience.
• Strong Financial Analysis skills.
• Strong communication skills- both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational and stress management skills.
• Ability to hold others accountable and maintain strong boundaries.
• Ability to work with little or no supervision.

Compensation details: 50000-50000 Yearly Salary
