Duration : 6 month contract to hire
Rate Range: $50-55/hr, dependent on experience
This role will require a Civil engineering degree and experience.
Explain what the scope of the work/project is? Project Overview, deliverables (what is this person responsible for). This role is for an Electrical Field engineer who will be responsible for supporting 2 solar projects in Pueblo, CO. This resource will be in the field for significant amounts of time, working with project team enforcing our specifications with the EPC contractor. This resource should have renewable generation project experience and should be willing/able to travel and stay at the site for approximately 3 days per week. Should have 2-3 years/equivalent experience with other renewables as well.
Day to Day? This resource will be working closely with project field inspectors and the field inspectors would work to report any NCRs to this resource. If the field inspector sees something, they will consult with a field engineer and the field engineer is able to look at it (something thats not compliant with the specifications or something thats potentially problematic for us), as the owner of these facilities. This Engineer will also be able to look at our drawings/specifications and determine what requires action/correction on the EPC contractor side. This resource should have knowledge of how to resolve a RFI and NCR noncompliance request. Again, this resource would need to be familiar with our project specification and some basic design understanding some of the design. This resource will work with our lead electrical engineer on the project to be able to understand/interpret design drawings and managing the compliance of the construction to the design drawings and managing RFI requests. This resource will also be providing information to the contractors or field construction teams, as they often require information such as specifications and drawings. This resource will have responsibility to understand and manage the scope of the contract.
What are the main technology application/software skills/experience this resource will be required to possess? Familiarity with ProjectWise, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam would be helpful to review EPC contractors' drawings (technical review communication tool). SAP is a plus
What are the top 3-5 skills and qualifications required?
Are there any certifications that the candidate must possess? Engineering training/certification to become a professional engineer.
What is the size of the group this position will be supporting? This resource will work with EPC contractors and field inspectors. In addition to a Project specific team consisting of project manager and engineer, construction field team, construction manager x3, construction/civil inspectors in addition to the Lead electrical engineer who will visit the site as well. This resource will also be working closely with the Project controls cost/scheduling staff.
What is the location of the contract assignment? Pueblo, CO. 3 days per week. Flexible - Resource will be working on Rocky Mountain solar farms in/near Pueblo, CO. It is expected that the resource be onsite/in the trailer/field at least 3 days per week. Days can be flexible with potentially 2 days of remote work.

- 5-7 years of Civil engineering experience with 2-3 years specifically in the renewable generation project space (construction or engineering design).
- Resource should have a bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited school or strong/commensurate experience.
- Resource should have very strong written and verbal communication skills along with strong analytical [thinking] skills to resolve answering questions, troubleshooting design conflicts, etc.
- Organization is key in this role as they will be interfacing with several different team, tracking and documenting.
- Resource should have knowledge of/familiarity with NCRs, RFIs, and the ability to understand and manage the scope of a contract.
