Pay Rate: $55.00 /hour
We have a Test Engineer need for our Data team. There is an emphasis for this individual to have good experience with large data, cloud & Spark.
Required Experience:
- Python
- Spark
- You have 5-8 years of experience developing and testing software
- You have 5-8 years of hands-on experience creating and maintaining test automation and associated infrastructure
- Experience in validation or delivery of connected car services is a plus
- Experience solving several real-life problems using Selenium
- Experience in behavior driven development and test-driven development scenarios and frameworks such as Cucumber, Jbehave/JGiven, etc. is a plus
- These testers need Spark because they will have a major focus on validating data from our ETL jobs. This will require data processing experience to create golden datasets and also to be able to compare actual data to what is expected. Spark alternatives could be acceptable, but would require much more experience to lead the team in something new to us
- What does Large Data mean? Big Data - ~10 Petabyte sized datasets. We will use Spark to process it, the Glue flavor of Spark could translate well to our work
