Job Description:
Apex Systems has a challenging career opportunity for an Identity & Access Management (IAM) Project Manager with one of our clients that is an IT consulting firm supporting a major HHS agency. This position requires an experienced, adaptable individual who possesses a combination of business, management, and technical leadership skills. The Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of this important program which supports a federal client's IAM Program Management Office (PMO) to lead the enterprise-wide IAM implementation for Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12). This position will have ultimate responsibility for customer relationship management, subcontractor management, financial management, personnel management, and overall program delivery within schedule and quality targets.
The successful candidate will understand the concepts of digital identity, access management, application entitlements, Multi-factor authentication, Single Sign On (SSO) & Federated authentication.

Job Responsibilities:
- Work closely with customers to establish strong relationships to foster a collaborative environment for continuous evaluation of PMO priorities
- Define project schedules, allocate resources and monitor and communicate progress
- Organize, manage, and direct project delivery tasks, assuring the proper application of PMO standards, tools, and methodologies in project work and deliverables
- Actively plan for and manage risks and issues, ensuring adequate contingency planning and issue resolution occurs throughout the project's lifecycle
- Provide formal, professional periodic updates to key stakeholders (customers and ASG leadership)
- Define strategy & roadmap for technology-related enhancements to IAM technologies and related tools
- Provide ongoing evaluations of technology solutions and capabilities to ensure alignment with business objectives
- Liaise closely with the customer's business teams, operations teams, and other technical teams to gather business requirements for IAM projects
- Ensure the creation, review, and signoff of deliverables in a timely manner
- Work in a fast-paced (Agile), team environment, keeping up with ongoing business requirements and priorities
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science or applicable area of study
- A minimum of 10 years of Project Management experience, with 5 of those specifically in the Identity & Access Management space (includes digital identity, access management, application entitlements, Multi-factor authentication, Single Sign On & Federated authentication)
- Strong written and oral communication Skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- Information Security certifications: CISA, CISM, CISSP, or Microsoft Azure preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) technical environment
- Experience in Microsoft AD and Azure a plus
