The qualified individual will be responsible for extensive IT financials and budgeting to include coding invoices and monitoring the capital expenditure budget.

IT Financial Analyst
Apex Systems, LLC is immediately seeking an Information Technology Financial Analyst in support of a leading Higher Education organization. The qualified individual will be responsible for extensive IT financials and budgeting to include coding invoices and monitoring the capital expenditure budget.
Title: IT Financial Analyst
Location: 100% remote
Duration: 3-6 month contract
Job Requirements:
- Prepare and code invoices required for the approval of expenditures
- Create accruals
- Perform reviews of technical actual and forecasted expenses to maintain the budget
- Calculate Capital Expenditure budget
- Measure actual vs. planned IT financial performance
- Track external labor and consulting expenses
- Recap departmental financial spending
- Meet with leaders in the IT Finance department to knowledge transfer
Required Skills / Proven Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in the IT side of financial accounting, analysis, and reporting
- Excellent proficiency in Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables)
- Working knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in finance/accounting and information technology
- Ability to create pro-forma P&L views to track scenarios to budget.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with IBM Cognos Analytics and TM1 software
- Experience with Lawson ERP software
- Comprehension of IT concepts and platforms (e.g. cloud hosting, agile delivery, product teams, lean portfolio management, IT finance, project, and change management) a plus
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
