What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Engineer position at Apex Systems?
To maintain our strong focus on hands-on lab quality and reliability, we are expanding the team! We are looking for an experienced Lead Data Center & Network Engineer to own the continuing expansion, ongoing operations and embrace our automation evolution of the Data Center footprint into Richardson, Texas.

You will have:
• CCNP/CCIE Certification (R&S and/or DC)
• 5 years in Data Center Operations & Production Network Operation roles
• 3 years’ experience with various Operating Systems: Windows, Linux, and Cisco network operating systems
• Strong Data Center Knowledge including Nexus Routing & Switching.
• Strong experience in the following products / solutions:
o Cisco Nexus 2000, 3000, 5000, 7000, 9000.
o Catalyst 9000 switches
o ISR 4000 and 1000 routers
o ASA and Firepower Firewalls
o UCS server management
• Strong experience operating and troubleshooting complex networks with segmentation and virtualization.
• Strong Experience with implementing dynamic routing with OSPF, EIGRP and BGP
• Good Experience with implementing client and site-to-site VPN solutions
• Good Experience with virtual machine networking with VMWare, ESXi and, vCenter, and VM networking
• Some experience and working knowledge with Cisco ACI

• Dedicated to maintaining a ’Source of truth’ for the network through our NetOps Tooling
• Generate first rate technical documentation of new, existing, evolving data center and network implementation.
• Own high and low visibility issues and be accountable for resolving them
• Troubleshoot & resolve incidents, providing excellent levels of clear communication
• Innovate - Identify and lead continuous improvement of systems, tools, and processes.
Combined with the skills to:
• Ruthlessly Prioritize and fully complete projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams effectively.
• Mentor new or less experienced team members.
• Communicate professionally and prudently to all internal and external stakeholders.
• Clearly articulate project status or challenges to leadership.

Who You'll Work With
You will work as part of the L&C Data Center Operations Team, which plans, operates, and maintains the L&C Data Center footprint globally, catering to tens of thousands of lab requests per year.
You will also work with the wider L&C team to support IT professionals learning and training needs in amazing ways. We provide world class training, community outreach, educational events, technical documentation, and hands-on learning across all of our portfolio of solutions. We are passionate about education, learning and improving careers!
You will also work closely with our product teams across the entire teams portfolio - including Networking, Security, Data Center, Collaboration, and Applications. Safe to say, you won’t always be in a Data Center, though you’ll feel right at home in one!
Salary : $45 - $55
