Contract Rate: 35-40/hr on W2
Length: Rolling Contract with potential to convert full time
Onsite Requirements: Monday – Thursday, Work from home on Fridays.
Travel: national and international – 50% of the time

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Engineer, they will be responsible for converting mag stripe locks to RFID technology, ensuring the seamless integration and functionality of RFID in production environments. This role involves both on-site, travel and remote work, collaborating with various teams and vendors to achieve successful project outcomes. This person will be required to go to Dry Dock locations to upgrade door lock readers for customer rooms. You will be troubleshooting network/systems issues that are connected to the readers and effectively communicate updates and challenges to vendors, team leadership, etc.
Must Haves:
1. MUST be ok with traveling on their own 50% of the time
2. Configure, install and troubleshoot Windows Servers, DNS, DHCP, IP address.
3. Good Communication

1. Visionline experience or any wireless locking solution
Responsibilities:
- Lead the conversion of mag stripe locks to RFID technology across various locations.
- Provide application support for access control systems, including RFID and mag stripe technologies.
- Document and troubleshoot issues, create installation guides, and develop troubleshooting guides.
- Certify new equipment and applications for access control systems.
- Collaborate with on-site IT staff and remote teams to ensure successful system implementations.
- Work closely with application vendors and business units on upgrades, deployments, and projects.
- Coordinate with infrastructure, network, and security teams for issue resolution and system integration.
- Conduct site surveys to assess and plan the installation of RFID technology.
- Train and support end-users and technical staff on the new RFID systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for access control systems.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with Windows server and workstation environments.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with DHCP and DNS.
- Extensive experience troubleshooting and resolving connectivity issues.
- Proven ability to formulate, communicate, and implement technical solutions.
- Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical peers and cross-functional teams.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision and leading or directing the work of others.
- Demonstrated creativity, strong analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with methodologies, tools, best practices, and processes within the area of access control systems.
