We have recently embarked on a Digital transformation journey in 2021. Due to the success across our company we need to hire another full-time QA Automation Supervisor to lead our QA Automation team. As the Supervisor of the QA Automation Development team will lead a group of QA Automation Engineers through creating comprehensive automated tests for new features that are created for business units across the company. The role leads their team members working in Agile squads through the application lifecycle, challenging technical constraints and removing barriers to product delivery.

Required Experience:
- 6 experience as a Sr. developer, technical lead or architect with insight into the newest development technologies and trends in automated testing
- Related experience includes but is not limited to Automated web testing using Java, Selenium, Ruby, TestNG or similar testing Frameworks. Appium a plus.
- Demonstrated knowledge of automated testing processes, standards, and best practices

- Understanding of Agile/Scrum development with DevOps methodologies geared toward rapid prototyping and piloting of cloud solutions
- Strong interpersonal, communications, presentation, training & mentoring skills

Job Functions:
- This leadership role works closely with all team members to create modular, scalable solutions that address and incorporate future architectural changes and designs. The role will drive the teams' development practices in test driven requirements, continuous integration, and automated deployment.
- Actively lead a high performing, empowered team that develops customer and employee centric solutions using modern digital technologies
- Providing daily leadership and guidance to QA Test Automation Developers
- Advocating a culture of sharing, re-use, design for scale stability, and operational efficiency of testing digital products
- Ensuring a high level of reliability and availability for all solutions developed, while adhering to SOx controls, CIP regulations and internal policies like account/password management
- Ensuring adherence to application development standards and governance
- Supporting numerous projects and activities simultaneously, ensuring that squad objectives are consistent with overall Innovation & Digital Factory objectives within scope, schedule, and budget (cost to achieve)
- Participating in the overall project planning for and resource balancing for the QA Test Automation team
- Leading architecture road mapping efforts to ensure a modern testing technology stack is maintained, including the use of Cloud technologies
- Performing quarterly check-in conversations with employees and providing coaching and feedback on performance, expectations, professional development, and career growth
- Ensuring that the group follows IT change management procedures for product releases
- Supporting major incidents, project activities and support concerns off hours as required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in agile project management methods including milestones, progress status, proper documentation, and deliverables with the ability to prioritize
- Experience/Knowledge using Azure DevOps to manage source code, manage developer tasks and bugs, and perform builds/deploys.
- Gherkin or equivalent behavior driven development experience
- Experience or knowledge of Browserstack service for testing mobile apps
- Experience with the ExtentReport library for generating Selenium reports
- Experience with Maven to support the project build and reporting processes
- Working knowledge of the Azure DevOps cloud architecture (using IaC to stand up temporary infrastructure to execute automated tests to facilitate running our tests asynchronously in Azure)
- Ability to plan for and support employees in career development opportunities
- Knowledge of developing operational plans, budgets, process, and roadmaps
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle best practices and Accessibility compliance best practices and tools
- Ability to work effectively across the organization with other IT and Business departments
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or similar technology-focused study with 7 years of related experience required. In lieu of a degree, 9 years of related experience required.
- Related experience includes but is not limited to working on IT development projects as a developer and leader.
