Description:
We are looking for a ServiceNow ITOM engineer to configure, integrate and provide troubleshooting expertise with discovery tools in support of our enterprise CMDB.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with CI Owners and CMDB Librarians to troubleshoot issues reported with discovery as well as others effecting data quality within the CMDB
• Utilize ServiceNow Discovery, discovery includes all IT Assets- physical hosts, virtual machines, network gear and applications
• Perform normalization and synchronization with the CMDB
• Handle business rules, client scripts, script includes, script actions/events, import sets, export sets, asynchronous transformation, scripted REST, etc.
• Build transform maps to import data sources and maintain integrations
Required Skills:
• Knowledge of network infrastructure, architecture, connectivity, devices and security
• Developer experience with ServiceNow CDMB, ITOM
• Deeply familiar with CMDBs, ITOM, ServiceNow Discovery and other device discovery tools
• Experience with JavaScript
• Experience building transform maps
• Experience with MID server builds, Service Mapping, and Integrations
• Experience with network routing and troubleshooting
• Experience with troubleshooting Discovery issues with known and unknown IPs and any network devices
• Effective communicator
• Able to work with minimal direction, be logical
• Work well in a fast-paced dynamic team environment
Desired:
• ServiceNow ITOM Certified
• ServiceNow Administrator and/or Developer certification
• ITIL certification
• AWS discovery experience
• Experience with Agile process
• Prior experience working for a large enterprise
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related experience
Must haves:
