Job Description:
Apex Systems is looking to hire an ONSITE Requirement Engineer for our client based out of Greensboro, NC.
This assignment is anticipated to be a 12 month contract with strong potential for extension; however, Apex Systems cannot guarantee the length of this assignment.
This will also have a first shift Monday-Friday schedule.
Responsibilities:

• Responsible to support Requirement Owner in breakdown / allocation of maintainability requirements to solution areas.
• Monitor verification and validation of concepts / solutions from the point of view of maintainability by close collaboration with engineering function.
• Participate in cross-functional team and support product development in developing and choosing best technical solution which meets agreed upon maintainability requirements.
• Perform and conduct packaging and accessibility studies using computer-aided design (CAD - PTC CREO preferred).
• Conduct cost analysis building product and technology business cases to support concept selection optimized for maintainability.
• Monitor and analyze vehicle maintenance data to identify trends and patterns and recommend corrective actions as necessary.

Experience:

• BS in software, electrical & electronic, computer science, automotive or mechanical engineering.
• Experience in developing solutions for the transport industry (Class 8 HD truck preferred).
• Knowledge of vehicle SW and HW architecture.
• Understanding of heavy-duty truck systems, software architecture, and diagnostic protocols ISO14229 is preferred.
• Knowledge about data extraction, analysis, and automation oriented to engineering solutions.
• Knowledge of reliability principles, methodologies, and tools is preferred (e.g., FMEA, RCM, fault tree analysis).
• Programing language, preferably Python.
