Position Description:
Position Description An EH&S (Environmental, Health, and Safety) Manager is responsible for overseeing and implementing safety and environmental programs within an organization. Developing and Implementing Safety Programs: Designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive safety programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Risk Assessment: Conducting risk assessments and identifying potential hazards in the workplace. Developing strategies to mitigate risks and promote a safe working environment. Training and Education: Providing training programs to employees on safety procedures, emergency response, and compliance regulations. Ensuring that employees are aware of and adhere to safety protocols. Regulatory Compliance: Staying abreast of environmental, health, and safety regulations. Ensuring that the organization complies with all relevant laws and standards. Incident Investigation: Investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses. Developing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence and maintaining incident records.
Emergency Response Planning: Developing and implementing emergency response plans. Coordinating drills and exercises to ensure preparedness for emergencies. Environmental Management: Managing environmental programs to minimize the organization's impact on the environment. This may include waste management, pollution control, and sustainability initiatives. Collaboration with Stakeholders: Working closely with various departments, management, and external stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility. Auditing and Inspections: Conducting regular audits and inspections to identify areas of improvement and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey safety information to employees and stakeholders.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, assess risks, and develop strategies for improving safety performance.
Leadership: Strong leadership skills to drive a safety culture and work collaboratively with teams.
Skills Preferred
Experience Required
Several years of experience in environmental, health, and safety management, with a proven track record of implementing successful safety programs. Preferred experiences in food manufacturing already.

Education Required
A bachelor's degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene, or a related field.
