Summary:
Apiture is seeking a highly collaborative front-end/UX engineer with an architecture background for our Design System team. This role will work on design-driven initiatives including building our design system components, helping to implement components across our products, and building front-end interfaces that meet design specs.

This role will work closely with the UX design team, the other engineers on the Design System team, and the overall Apiture engineering org, ensuring that the design system is meeting user needs and following best practices. This role will also help determine best avenues for user feedback with the other Design System team members and find ways to continuously improve the experience for both our internal Design System users and the end users of our software. 


Location (Wilmington, NC, Austin, TX, Remote):
We have offices in Wilmington, NC and Austin, TX and while some positions need to be office based, we will consider remote candidates based on their time zone.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience with Web Components, Typescript, and the Stencil Web Components compiler
  • Proficiency with package and release management as well as semantic versioning
  • Understanding of Angular (this is the main framework we use at Apiture, but we are using Web Components for the design system with an Angular wrapper)
  • Experience with HTML5, CSS3 
  • Understanding of design tokens, Figma and the Tokens Studio Figma plugin
  • Experience building, scaling and theming design systems
  • Strong interest in and understanding of UX best practices and web accessibility
  • Ability to explain tech decisions to team members in varying roles and level of technological background
  • Collaborative team player who can work with designers and developers to determine technical and usage standards
  • Passion for great technical documentation
  • Bonus points for experience using Knapsack (this is the platform we use for documentation for the design system)
  • Familiarity with Bitbucket and Nx is a plus
