General Description
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible to ensure that Tubelite products for shipment are packaged and loaded correctly, on time and complete, in the most cost effective manner. The Supervisor is also responsible to create a culture consistent with Tubelite's Core Values and Safety policies.
Principal Duties and Accountabilities include, but not limited to:
- Supervise Warehouse operations.
- Responsible to meet warehouse production targets.
- Enforce all work rules and safety regulations.
- Actively promote safety on the production floor.
- Train and coach production line employees.
- Administer employee reviews that focus on employee development
- Administer employee discipline, when necessary.
- Update employee time-tracking system, AOD, on a daily basis.
- Staff appropriately for current production levels.
- Working with HR, recruit excellent employees when increased staffing is needed.
- Use Six Sigma/Lean/TOC tools to problem solve quality, safety, and productivity issues.
- Promote LEAN initiatives. Keep Value Steams visible and updated.
- Conduct daily/weekly team meetings to discuss area performance, quality, and safety.
- Write and review work instructions and special operating procedures for warehouse operations.
- Ensure that quality standards are enforced.
- Develop relationships with team members that encourage excellent communication and retention.
- Responsible for the day-to-day compliance to established policies standards & procedures and verification that product being produced meets or exceeds the established product specifications on an on-going basis
- Ensure that all employees are trained to perform their duties in a safe and productive manner
- Associates degree in manufacturing or similar. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years experience in production supervision.
- Lean Manufacturing background. Six Sigma Green Belt, preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem solving skills and the ability to implement change.
- Experience with Microsoft office products.
- Willingness to work flexible work schedule to meet production demands.
