What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host position at Apollon?
Apollon is a Mediterranean & Greek restaurant that has been in business for over 20 years and we strive every day to make the best dishes and offer excellent customer service. Apollon has been featured in many news articles for offering some of the best Greek food statewide. As such, we are looking for cooks that want to be a part of the Apollon family and work to make beautiful and savory dishes.
Apollon Hours are:
Mon-Thurs: 5pm-9pm
Fri-Sat:5pm-10pm
Note: Working weekends will be a must for hosts, but weekdays are as needed.
We prefer someone with the following:
- Desire to learn
- Quick on their feet/Used to fast-paced labor
- Prior hosting experience (preferred, not required)
- A dedicated worker to their craft
- Punctuality & Loyalty
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner.
- Ascertains their dining/lodging needs.
- Seats guests and manage the seating chart.
- Monitors restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow.
- Responds to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
- Performs opening and closing duties, as needed.
- Assists others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc.
- Helps fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships.
