The VP, Growth is primarily responsible for accelerating growth for ApotheCom through new client acquisition and enhancing organic growth. The position contributes to the development of ApotheCom’s growth strategy and plan, and implementation of that plan to drive organizational growth.
This role reports into the ApotheCom president and the Inizio Medical Chief Growth Officer and is part of a matrix growth team consisting of other Inizio Medical Growth department colleagues and the ApotheCom Global Leadership Team. Within this matrix team the VP, Growth heads lead identification, relationship mapping, relationships development, and lead conversion. In collaboration with the ApotheCom Global Leadership Team the VP, Growth will support the identification of organic growth opportunities within existing MSA-holding clients to drive organic growth plans.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Partner with the ApotheCom president, Inizio Medical Growth, and the ApotheCom Global Leadership Team to identify, prioritize, and plan business development activities to support new client acquisition and targeted growth prospects within current client portfolio.
- Identify key client decision makers across multiple disciplines (including procurement, medical affairs, publications and client executive leadership) with an associated plan to engage, develop and generate new leads, opportunities, and business growth.
- Leading the development and implementation of agreed Global Strategic Account Plans with a multi-disciplinary account team covering all aspects of strategic account management & governance.
- This role is global and supports both US and EU teams but will have a majority focus on US-based customers (global and US-regional medical affairs and commercial clients operating from the US).
- Conducting consultative discussions with qualified prospects to identify needs and convert those prospects to growth opportunities.
- Meeting growth targets through proactive prospecting to identify, qualify and convert new business leads within pharma, biotech, device, and diagnostic companies in alignment with strategic objectives for both ApotheCom and the Inizio Medical business unit.
- Developing a thorough understanding of the ApotheCom and Inizio Medical Platform offering to consistently and effectively articulate organizational capabilities and uphold and enhance agency reputation in the market.
- Presenting capabilities, responding to RFIs and RFPs, writing proposals and developing custom recommendations.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Extensive prior experience in pharma, life science solutions, medical communications, or consultancy.
- Excellent relationship management skills, with proven ability to build and develop strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Proven track record of lead generation and RFI/RFP conversion
- Demonstrated ability to support development of successful RFIs, RFPs, and stand-alone proposals
- Demonstrable experience in creative problem-solving to address challenges
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrable experience activating internal stakeholders, aligning on a strategy, and navigating cross-functional team dynamics to elicit response, achieve results
- Ability to work in fast-paced, quickly changing environment
- Ability to respond quickly and amicably to changing client needs and conditions
- A deep understanding of market trends and solutions including technology, data, analytics, innovation, strategic planning, metrics, and insights
- Ability to support up to 20% travel around key congresses to drive lead identification, relationship development, and deal conversion
- Excellent proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams
