What are the responsibilities and job description for the Underground Utility Foreman position at Appalachian Foothills Contracting?
We are an outdoor electrical contracting company seeking to hire a construction foreman.
Project Foreman will oversee a crew of 3-7 while participating in the following typical work items:
- Equipment Operation - Trenchers, Skid Steers, Mini-Excavtors, Backhoes
- Underground Conduit and Duct Installation
- Concrete forming and pouring
- Cable pulling and termination
- Restoration grade and dress work
Foreman is also responsible for:
- Communiciation with project superintendent and/or project manager
- Communication with project owner and/or owner's representative
- Daily record keeping if no superintendent
- Adherence to project plans and specifications
- Quality control of their crew
Current crews are located between Lexington and Harlan, KY. Work area is Kentucky and surrounding states. Projects frequently prailing wage. Weekly travel is often required. Company transportation and lodging are provided.
