The Night Shift, System Staff Pharmacist is responsible for providing quality pharmaceutical care/services to patients and health care professionals at any ARH or affiliated unit as assigned.
Reviews and verifies medication orders for accuracy and completeness for all ARH hospitals.
Supervises and performs the functions involved in the inpatient drug distribution program at the location where the night shift pharmacy is maintained. THANK YOU!
Monitors patients’ drug therapy to detect/prevent drug interactions, contraindications, and other adverse reactions for all ARH hospitals.
Makes appropriate interventions to improve patient care for all ARH hospitals.
Uses and is proficient in the operation of pharmacy computer systems.
Obtains pertinent patient medication/medical information.
Provides current and accurate drug information to patients and health care professionals at all ARH facilities.
Communicates effectively with patients and health care professionals.
Assumes the duties of the Director of Pharmacy when assigned.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or other advanced Pharmacy degree.
Licensure eligibility in Kentucky and West Virginia is required.
