Onboarding Manager – AppFolio Property Manager

We are currently hiring a Customer Onboarding Manager to join our Client Services team for our AppFolio Property Management, Client Services team.

The Onboarding Manager is responsible for leading new customers through the onboarding journey. They act as the primary project manager for new customers and ensure that their accounts are set up on time and accurately. They go above and beyond to ensure that customers are realizing value from the software. The Onboarding Manager ultimately owns the success of each customer implementation.The role requires over-communication, a sense of urgency, project management abilities and being a collaborative team player. The Onboarding Manager must be able to work cross functionally, be a great team player, team builder and communicator.

Knowledge and Skills

• Outstanding customer relationship skills, ability to create and maintain strong positive relationships with Appfolio clients, great at handling objections
• Project management experience required. Must be able to effectively manage a high volume of concurrent projects.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, proficient presentation skills and strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills. Must be great at handling objections.
• Ability to adapt and work efficiently in a rapidly changing dynamic team environment.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage new customer onboarding projects from initial kick-off call through first full month accounting including a bank reconciliation.
• Ensure that each customer’s data is accurate and that they have attended required trainings.
• Make best practice recommendations for customers re: their business processes and best to utilize AppFolio
• Consistently achieve high % of on-time go-lives
• Subject matter expert on migration, AppFolio processes
• Subject matter expert on onboarding project management best practices, consistently maintaining up to date & accurate project details in SF including tasks, dates, statuses, logging emails & calls, etc.
• Mentor new team members during on-boarding process providing coaching & feedback

Skills and Knowledge:

• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience, BA/BS preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business
• Highly organized and strong ability to multitask
• Ability to influence decision-making and change
• Experience with Microsoft Excel
• Outstanding customer focus, ability to create and maintain strong positive relationships, and skilled at handling objections
• Project management experience required. Must be able to effectively manage a high volume of concurrent projects and maintain quality consistently.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, proficient presentation skills and strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt and work efficiently in a rapidly changing dynamic team environment.
• Real estate, finance, accounting and/or FinTech experience is strongly desired.
