Associate Financial Operations Analyst

Appian’s Operations team is growing! This role demands someone with comfort in both business and finance and an interest in translating between the two. We are looking for someone who is quick, enthusiastic and has an extremely high level of attention to detail. About you:

• You are educated with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, and/or related field
• You have 0-2 years of financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, and/or forecasting experience (or relevant University experience)
• You are an Excel whiz with expertise in creating and manipulating Pivot Tables and using other Excel formulas (preference for having Tableau experience as well)
• You are pro-active and have great communication skills 
• You are a numbers person who has a passion for the financial success and reporting of a growing global company
• You have strong analytical and problem solving skills
• You are a fast learner who can work independently with little direction
• You are looking for a challenging career that will expose you to complex and interesting work and provide growth opportunities based on performance

How you’ll contribute:

• Supporting compliance to Appian’s timesheet policy by following-up with employees on timesheet matters
• Develop and/or run weekly/bi-weekly/monthly/quarterly financial or operational reports to key stakeholders with analysis and commentary
• Collect, review, and prepare data from different systems and/or resources to enable financial and operational reporting
• Support preparation of key performance indicators to include financial, business, and operational metrics 
• Develop reports/and or presentations on findings from analysis and deliver to key stakeholders
• Perform deep analysis on data using MS Excel or other tools 
• Support Supervisor and/or Project Managers in the project budgeting, forecasting, and Estimate-at-Completion (EAC) process
• Assist in the development of financial processes and reporting vital to the operation of the Professional Services organization
• Run OpenAir and SalesForce integrations with Projector
• Support special operational projects and activities on an administrative basis (i.e. schedule meetings, follow-up as appropriate, support special business events)
• Other operational tasks as assigned
