The Apple PRL is seeking a CNC prototype machinist who will be responsible for preparing materials, programming tool paths, utilizing multiple CNC machines, spot checking finished components, all while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Key Qualifications
- 5 years of proven experience setting up and operating computer numerical controlled machines
- Skilled at programming in a 3D CAD/CAM environment
- 5-axis experience is preferred
- Experience working with a wide range of materials
- Proficient with calipers, micrometers, surface plate inspection practices
- Experience using horizontal and vertical saws, manual mills and lathes
- Solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances
- Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- Ability to hold close tolerances
Description
As a CNC prototype machinist with the PRL you will be able to work independently on assignments that require considerable judgement and initiative and as part of a larger team that works closely to ensure the highest quality product.
The ideal candidate will be well organized and detail oriented, able to accurately follow operational and routine maintenance instructions, have the ability to quickly learn about new processes, and optimally communicate the status of projects on a regular basis. - At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $43.02 and $75.48/hr, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
