Apple is looking for a highly motivated technical contributor to join Panel Process and Optics (PPO) Engineering team.
Successful candidate will be responsible for prototype display module assembly and characterization. Individual in this role will run equipment for completion of prototype display and optical modules, as well as utilizing a suite of metrology and characterization tools. They will assist engineers to conduct experiments for evaluating and developing innovative technologies and new methods. We work at a fast pace and require everyone to be highly self motivated. A successful candidate needs to be flexible, receptive to ideas from others, team oriented, and willing to work with technologists, engineers and others for continuing to push the technology envelop.
Key Qualifications
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in setting up and running high precision manufacturing equipment and process including, but not limited to, flex/IC bonding, lamination, and laser equipment
- Knowledgable about visual or microscopic inspection for identifying defects
- Experience working with materials characterization equipment
- Ability to work with engineering drawings to generate mechanical fixtures to support high quality analysis and fabrication
- Experience working in a laboratory and development environment
- Flexible and collaborative, willing to work in fast paced product and technology development lab
- Attentive to detail, with demonstrated ability to produce professional, high-quality prototypes
- Experience working with backend semiconductor/display manufacturing equipment preferred
- Ability to work on multiple projects with tight deadlines
- Experience with Numbers/Pages/Keynote/Excel
Description
You will work with cross-functional teams responsible for designing and producing exciting new displays and assembly technologies, and fully characterizing the results. You will need to successfully collaborate closely with highly talented engineers.
Education & Experience
BS in mechanical, electronics, or materials engineering. Will also consider candidates with relevant certifications/industrial experiences.

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $121,000 and $230,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
