HID Watch Sensor Software team is working on ground breaking features for Apple Watch that empower users to live a better and healthier life, while keeping their data private and secure. You will have responsibilities spanning all aspects of HID/Sensor software infrastructure, design and debug.

Key Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in senior engineering or technical leadership role
- Proven capability to lead development team shipping customer facing sensor based features
- A track record of leading projects, mentoring peers and collaborating with technical business partners
- Strong C/C /Objective-C programming and design skills
- Proven software architecture experience
- Experience with developing SDKs, frameworks and APIs
- Consistent track record of driving technical innovation
- Detail oriented with strong analytical skills to help lead sophisticated investigations and debug issues
Description
This position requires a strong self-motivated leader with phenomenal technical and interpersonal skills to handle responsibilities including:
Lead and manage the engineering team that will maintain and design new software stacks for future health products and sensing technologies.
Drive end to end system engineering and architecture across multi-functional programs
Collaborate with firmware, algorithms and UX teams to productize innovative product ideas for Apple Watch customers
Crafting OS platforms that enable development of next generation sensing features.
Continually drive innovation within the team including architectural improvements and improved testing efficient to build power and performant systems
Education & Experience
BS or equivalent in Computer Science or similar
Additional Requirements
- Experience working with sensor data (e.g. accelerometer, heart rate sensor) is a strong plus
- Familiarity with IOKit, Objective-C and other iOS/OS X frameworks is a plus
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $155,500 and $269,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
