The Core Infrastructure Team within Apple’s Hardware Test Engineering is looking for a Software Engineering Program Manager with a genuine passion for driving delivery of projects. You will be part of the organization that is at the center of factory processes in delivering software solutions rapidly to improve Apple Manufacturing. Program managers work alongside engineering and other partners and lead teams through developing new applications from concept to launch. You will be responsible for leading project scope, schedule and resources. Flexibility and adaptability are key attributes needed for success.
Key Qualifications
- 7 years of project management experience, preferably in high-tech / manufacturing
- Experience project handling sophisticated, multi-functional projects
- Experience developing and releasing a software product
- Experience leading strategic programs combined with the ability to implement at tactical project-level
- Ability to understand priorities and clarify direction
- Ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience
- Experience presenting clear project status
- Exhibit a curious approach about new insights and process improvements
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent spoken and written communication
- Strong engineering / technical background
- Knowledge of software engineering standard methodologies
Description
In this role, you will drive large, multi-functional projects to deliver important business initiatives.
- Collaborate across all phases (design, implementation, testing) of an engineering project using breath of technical knowledge / experience and ability to partner multi-functionally
- Facilitate requirement gathering and design review sessions with internal and external partners, while understanding functionalities and features implemented are crucial
- Evaluate technical risks and drive resolution on technical / engineering issues
Additionally, you’ll assist in other EPM responsibilities including but not limited to maintaining roadmap, providing oversight on resource capacity and funding at portfolio level, rolling out project framework, new initiatives, etc. We value your ability to lead and develop new processes and ideas when it makes sense to re-evaluate, which makes Apple, Apple!

BS in CS/ME/EE or equivalent experience

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $160,700 and $282,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
