A day in the life-- a few of the things you might be doing on any given day:
- NSX Network Virtualization Experience to include design, implementation and administration in a VMware environment.
- Virtual Desktop Administration (VMware Horizon View)
- Enterprise Cloud Management and Administration (VMware vRA)
- Management of Enterprise Virtual Systems and Networks (VMware vROPS)
- Virtualization Infrastructure Experience (VMware vSphere)
- Virtual Application packaging and remediation
- Application installation, support, testing, and troubleshooting skills
- Windows Desktop Administration Skills (Microsoft 7 & 10)
- Deployment & Configuration Automation Experience
- Effective Project Management
- DB Administration (MSSQL)
- Backup and Restore (NetBackup)
- Scripting automation (PowerShell)
- Administration of load balancers (F5/Big-IP)
- System Monitoring (Zabbix)
What we are expecting from you (i.e. the qualifications you must have):
- Extensive NSX Network Virtualization Experience - network knowledge, skills and demonstrated experience in a complex network data center environment
- Extensive VMware Virtualization Experience - design, implement, and manage VMware environment, including Datacenter cluster(s) managed by vCenter
- VCA Data Center (and/or Cloud)
- Demonstrated effective project management experience
- Knowledge and working experience with Windows (Preferred 2008 or later versions) and Active Directory
- Network knowledge, skills and demonstrated experience in a complex network data center environment
- PowerShell script or equivalent demonstrated experience
- Enjoys a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Able to work and interact with others in a structured / team environment
- Accuracy and attention to detail, must have organizational skills
- Independent problem solver with troubleshooting, decision making and analytical skills
- Requires limited supervision, self-starter, strong time management skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to handle competing work demands
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate to nontechnical audience on technical issues
- Ability to work flexible hours and be on-call
- Ability to do limited travel (0 - 4 times a year)

Education Requirement: High school diploma
Certifications Desired: VMware
