Key Responsibilities Prepares wafers for experimentation to include cleaning. Loads wafers, prepares reactor for experimentation and cleans reactors. Prepares cross section samples for scanning electron microscope (SEM) analysis. Operates reactor to perform thin film process, under supervision. Operate scanning electron microscope (SEM) for cross section and top view or critical dimension (CD) or energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) analysis / imaging pending on job assignment, identify some patterns of interest. Records process conditions and experimental observations. Understand basic scanning electron microscope (SEM) principle. Responsible for single technology products. Perform scanning electron microscope (SEM) system software alignment functions. Evaluates wafers and thin films. Perform routine maintenance procedures, flash, plasma clean etc. Operates knowledgeably laboratory process equipment and instrumentation. Functional Knowledge Applies basic analytical skills or scientific methods or operational processes to perform straightforward activities. Business Expertise Understands how the assigned duties relate to others in the team and how the team integrates with others. Leadership Has no supervisory responsibilities. Objective: Day and night shift support for the ESS team, accelerate data collection and run various lab tools (R2R and S2S tools preparation, support on metrology tools) for engineering operation and process development. Should have Associate degree in STEM. Proactively assist scientists and engineers in the lab, tool preparation, accelerate their day to day work by providing quality support and data collection Operate complex R&D equipment and follow best known methods (BKM) Customer sample preparation with appropriate labelling, bookkeeping, inventory of samples shipped to customers and shipping documentation Good housekeeping skills, disposing of used materials and follow appropriately recommended procedure Good data logging, data collection and maintain logbook, coordinate with all team members and maintaining clear and open lines of communication to help smoothly run the lab activities Willingness to learn new mereology and analysis (data collection, calculating standard deviation, summarize the data and make presentation. Calibrate the instrument whenever necessary). Instructions would be provided initially on the metrology tool operation and standard operating procedures. Microscope Optical 3D laser Laser scribing of thin films under controlled conditions Good computer skills Primary Responsibilities: The role requires individuals to follow strict internal protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) May participate in designing experiments, preparing hypotheses to be tested and executing experiments and data collection. Assist preventive maintenance of tools as needed. Support hardware, process and metrology team’s activities and also work across shifts, if necessary Support the team in sample preparation, packaging and shipment activities. May communicate with team on the findings and data summary Supports in performing experimental design approaches to validate findings. May identify appropriate software (eg. JMP) to discover patterns. Responsible for making minor changes in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of work area. Follow lab protocol for safety, PPE, proper waste disposal and documentation.
