Finance Manager

Position Summary:

Responsible for Managing Accounting, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. This position requires 100% work from the main office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

This list is not comprehensive but meant to represent the most common or important duties of the position. Other duties are required and/or assigned.

• G/L monthly closings and reconciliations
• Year-end reporting and audit schedules
• Year-end tax schedules and projections for tax planning
• Review annual Form 1099 and 1096 preparation
• Monthly/annual period maintenance on ERP system
• Monthly cash flow reporting
• 401K plan administration including annual census and questionnaire
• Annual Ohio BWC premium true-up filing
• Assist CFO with annual business insurance renewal paperwork
• Oversee Finance Department staff and act as backup for A/P and A/R
• Review and approve in advance all A/P check runs
• G/L coding of owner’s business credit card
• Annual Unclaimed funds reporting
• State tax filings and periodic reports
• Coordinate various state and local tax payments (business and owner)
• Review of payroll prior to processing
• Payroll expense allocation spreadsheet
• Cash management
• Daily bank reverse positive pay review
• Submit/approve wire transfers and ACH’s in bank site
• Monthly intercompany expense allocation
• Burden rate calculation for annual labor and overhead rate determination
• Review annual standard costing
• Review physical inventory variance reports
• Primary contact for annual G/L review, 401K audit, OOS workers comp audit
• Special projects
• Other duties assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervision of Accounting Department, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Required Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 5 years of experience in general accounting
• Previous management experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• A CPA or Masters Degree in Account or Finance, is desired but not required

Language Skills:

Ability to correspond effectively via e-mail, phone calls, and face-to-face meetings with managers and business contacts.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Maintains a valid Driver’s License.

Essential Job Functions: Ability to multi-task and attention to detail are critical. This position requires a hands-on approach and this person will be heavily involved in all aspects of the accounting department.
