Vice President of Product Management
Apptentive is headquartered in Seattle, Washington and this full time position can be remote in any of the following states (CA, IL, MA, MI, NC, NJ, NY, OR, TX, TN, WA)
As a VP of Product Management, you will be responsible for creating a vision, crafting a strategy, building systems and features, ideating creative solutions, and building/growing a product team to improve our customers in gathering feedback around the world. Some of the biggest brands want to hear from their customers, and it’s up to you to effectively build the software to enable that!
What you’ll be doing
- Leading Product and Design teams to effectively deliver features and products to our customers.
- Improve on process to organize and share the product roadmap (and the decisions that got us there).
- Work with the leadership team to match business value to the roadmap, and transparently communicate trade-offs and objectives.
- Gaining empathy by chatting deeper with our amazing customers.
- Identify and determine the next key product hires as we continue to grow.
- Mentor and grow individuals on the team to their desired personal goals.
Experiences and Skills that would be helpful
- Experience consistently shipping products, including prioritization and roadmapping. We want someone who can not only determine the order, but has a track record of cutting through any blockers and deliver software.
- Firm understanding of APIs and how different systems communicate with one another.
- Experience working with SDKs and understanding the differences between iOS/Android/other non-native platforms.
- Experience hiring, managing, and developing both individual contributors and senior product leaders.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity. Excited to figure out the solution, bring others along and make sure everyone is on the same page, then execute successfully.
- Experience presenting to executives with the ability to switch between high level and granular presentations.
- Exemplify servant leadership. Product leaders serve not only their teams, but support the whole organization.
