What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Specialist position at April Health?
Primary Responsibilities
As a shipping specialist, you’ll work with a team to make sure that patients get the medications they need when they need them. You will be responsible for:
- Assemble, address, stamp, and ship medications to patients
- Unpack, verify, and record incoming merchandise or material
- Arrange appropriate transportation of products
- Assist pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with shipping inquiries
- Assist delivery drivers with delivery issues, offer alternatives and consult with patients during delivery attempts to resolve issues
Education and Experience
- High school diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum one year of customer service experience required, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or other related fields preferred
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
