Barback

Innovative new cocktail bar, Apartment 5, seeking personable and experienced barbacks to join our skilled team. 

Role Expectations:
Must have at least three years of experience barbacking in an elevated cocktail bar environment, preferably with NYC experience.

• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Attention to detail 
• Ability to move with swiftness and grace behind the bar and through a crowded bar
• Assist the bartenders, and occasionally the serving team, with keeping the bar stocked with product and glassware
• Occassionally performing prep duties during service as needed, such as making garnishes and batching 
• Assist in enforcing and maintaining health and safety standards
• This is a customer-facing (FOH) position so interpersonal/service skills are a must
• Help to foster a positive environment for both guests and other members of our team, and provide exceptional service to guests and provide exceptional attentiveness to the bar team

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a barback in a high-end cocktail bar
• Base level knowledge of mixology and classic cocktails is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
