Position Description Summary

APT Research is hiring a Chemist in Huntsville, AL with the potential to work a hybrid schedule. This position will include a variety of tasks related to chemistry and explosives chemistry safety. The person will guide efforts to advise on safety production of MESO (Marshall Enriched Storable Oxidizer) or Nitrogen Tetroxide. The person will assist with data analysis, technical writing, training, and other chemistry-related tasks.

Note: This position will not involve handling explosives directly.

Required Experience/Education:

• A Master of Science (MS) degree from an accredited college or university in chemistry or chemical engineering
• 5-10 years' experience in a related position
• Excellent technical writing/editing skills

Security Clearance Requirement: (applicants selected for positions requiring a Security Clearance will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information)

• Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Applicant must be a US citizen.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in chemistry safety
• Knowledge of data analysis
• Design of experiments
