SQL Data Analytics Analyst

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Analytics professional to join our client’s growing team. Responsibilities as a member of the Data Analytics and reporting team include data mining, data analysis, data visualization, requirements mapping, and translating business needs into analytics/reporting requirements. In this role, you will be interfacing with partners and other team members to build custom data-driven solutions, as well as crafting impactful visualizations and reports.

Position is hybrid in Birmingham, AL

Responsibilities:

• Gather, document, scrutinize, and correlate business data from diverse sources.
• Outline, create, assemble, and distribute novel business intelligence and analytics solutions.
• Create interactive dashboards and reports to illustrate crucial metrics and trends
• Construct online analytical processing (OLAP) cubes, both static and dynamic dashboards, as well as interactive reports, charts, and graphs tailored to client specifications.
• Formulate, construct, and present fresh reports, metrics, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Conduct intricate data analysis and craft dimensional data models.
• Act as a BI authority to accurately evaluate BI necessities for business division users, aligning those requirements with suitable back-end solution frameworks (e.g., OLTP/transactional databases, data marts, data warehouses, cubes, tabular models, local data sources, etc.).
• Engage with colleagues, fostering team members' growth and expertise through guidance and leadership when necessary.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Strong data analysis experience; understanding of data warehouse design techniques is a plus
• Strong SQL & Query writing skills is preferred
• Knowledge of data migration and integration
• Experience in Power BI and/or Tableau for creating interactive dashboards and reports
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication skills with the ability to present complex data insights in a clear and concise manner
