Job Overview:
In anticipation of a project win The APTIM Federal Services, LLC team is seeking a Project Manager for the Pensacola area. They will be responsible for management of all phases of project activities that range from small to large in value and a variety of scopes that include engineering, procurement, construction and /or operations. Directs preparation of work plans, supervises project teams, and manages project scope, budget and schedule. This position will be part of an operations team and will work on specialized projects.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Document management to include producing, reviewing and tracking submittals and RFIs
- Assist in preparing and updating all assigned project schedules, including subcontractors and material deliveries
- Assist in pre-construction activities including take-offs, bid solicitation, bid review and assembly of final project budget
- Inspect documents for accuracy against project drawings and specifications
- Responsible for all phases of planning and execution on small projects as defined by low potential risk, complexity, manpower requirements and/or contract value
- Monitors and implements project safety and quality programs.
- Supervises daily activities of project personnel including technical and administrative support and ensures that deliverables are produced on schedule and within budget.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited university; a degree in construction management from an ABET or ACCE accredited university; or a degree in architecture from a NAAB accredited university.
- 7 years of experience as a Construction Manager, Field Engineer, Project Engineer or Quality Control Manager on commercial/industrial type facilities, utility or waterfront related contracts valued in excess of $5M
- USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors Training certification
- U.S. Citizen
- Valid driver's license
