Fabrication Foreman

Job Overview: FABRICATION FOREMAN:

APTIM | LFG Specialties is one of the leading providers of compliance equipment in the solid waste industry "landfills". APTIM designs and fabricates flares, gas compression and conditioning systems, as well as evaporation systems. APTIM currently has an opening for an Fabrication Foreman to work full-time at our facility in Findlay, OH.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

The successful candidate will perform a wide variety of fabrication supervision tasks including:

Production Optimization

• Formulates task breakdown and distributes to fabricators and laborers .
• Assigns daily tasks to meet production goals.
• Work with Supervisor to establish allocated hours for production, track hours vs. budget, conduct time studies as necessary and provide feedback.
• Help determine manpower and utilization requirements shop work hours with Supervisor based on delivery schedules.

Compliance

• Operate within OSHA and Federal Standards and Operating Permits and maintain needed documentation and reports (i.e., hazardous communication, safety and data sheets, air permits, etc.)
• Participate in safety meetings according to company policies.

Administrative

• Help Supervisor in interviewing and hiring process.

QA/QC

• Review drawings to verify accuracy thereof.
• Work with Supervisor on project issues and problems.
• Red line prints from floor for engineering approval and print updates for as-built drawings.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of experience minimum in a fabrication environment.
• Computer literate with experience using e-mail and word processing applications (Microsoft Office).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates ability to lead diverse teams using effective listening, coaching, training, investigative and problem-solving skills, ability to exercise initiative, sound judgment and effective time management in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.
• Read and interpret weld process according to AWS and ASME section IX.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $29.81 - $32.21 per hour
