Managing Consultant

As an expert in the field and a leader within the Professional Services function, provide guidance and support to multiple concurrent projects and the professional services organization. Partner with project managers to fully understand and ensure the agreed outcomes of implementations are delivered and be accountable for the quality and robustness of the delivered solutions, client satisfaction and enablement, enforcement of Aptitude Software delivery methodologies, and cross-project knowledge transfer. Demonstrate product mastery and provide confidence, innovative solutions, and leadership. Manage risk and think commercially as part of the decision-making process. Manage Aptitude’s overall project delivery, perceptively looking around the corner at what might be coming in terms of challenges across different projects, as well as opportunities for Aptitude’s future growth and return on investment. Lead and guide the best practice delivery approaches in new verticals and product initiatives. Ensure the team are actively engaging with other project teams to share knowledge, best practice, client experiences, lessons learnt and re-usable delivery artefacts. Liaise with Aptitude’s product development teams to inform them when clients’ requirements cannot be met by the product and work to close those gaps. Regarded by the Senior Leadership Team as their “go-to” person within Professional Services for either functional or technical guidance. Participate in product steering as to ensure client and market demands are documented and engage with the wider organization to help drive product priorities. Drive and lead initiatives, serve as a SME (Subject Matter Expert) for one or more key knowledge domain and ensure teams have the resources they need to support our clients. Manage and develop other Technical and/Functional Consultants. Support the interviewing, hiring, and induction process for new Consultants. The role will involve significant travel in-country and/or overseas.

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Information Technology, Manufacturing Systems, or closely related field.

Minimum Experience: Five (5) years of experience as a Technical Consultant or Technical Lead.

Special Requirements: The five (5) years of experience must have included: accounting, software design, and implementation to deliver on the customer’s unique functional specifications; use ETL (Extra, Transform, Load) and RDBMS (Relational Database Management System) concepts to develop database-centric applications; oversee database design and physical implementation of high-volume batch processing systems; and implement Cl (Continuous Integration) and CT (Continuous Testing) processes to ensure high-quality deliverables; design, develop, implement and operate controls including policies and procedures for a cloud services system.
