About this position
The Sr. Software Architect is responsible for all aspects of the software design and development. Delivery of all technical aspects of software architecture into the product design. Projects responsibilities include working with major OEMs to deliver Advanced Safety Controllers for Level 0 to Level 3 safety capability ratings utilizing technologies such as embedded microprocessors, Ethernet, and CAN protocols, along with GPS, ultrasonic, cameras and Radar technology.
Function of the role is to deliver production intent, automotive grade software to enable advanced safety features for future vehicles.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-software and products architects to ensure compatibility
- Develop SW architecture to meet functional safety, cybersecurity and other automotive standards
- Create software architecture for the vehicle prototypes to integrate different algorithms from
different engineering groups ensuring modularity and flexibility based on a given system
architecture
- Lead cross-functional teams to rapidly build solutions to critical problems that may arise during
the course of the development process
- Adhere to Company's Policies and Procedures, Emphasize and Support Continuous Process Improvement
- Model the architectures in UML to ensure traceability with the system architecture and the code.
- Integrate software algorithms provided by other teams
- System Performance tuning and optimization
- Work in an agile development environment
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Extensive experience in architecture design for highly complex systems
- Experience with ASPICE / V-MODEL and tools(design, unit testing, static and dynamic
analysis, etc)
- Experience with Build frameworks( Bazel, MTS Make, CMAKE, etc)
- Experience with service oriented software architectures :: Adaptive
AUTOSAR/ROS/ROS2/DDS
- Extensive experience in embedded C/C programming experience
- Extensive understanding of POSIX Operating system with RTOS : LINUX/VxWorks/QNX
- Ethernet communication protocols and tools experience
- Familiarity with SOC architecture, benchmarking XPUT and memory estimation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Familiarity with Classic and Adaptive AutoSAR
- Virtualization or Containerization
- ISO26262 Functional safety experience
- Experience in reading schematics and data sheets
- Familiar with GPU/NPU/DSP
- Excellent communication / presentation skills
- Embedded development tools (compilers, debuggers, oscilloscopes, serial data tools, etc.)
- Embedded microprocessor experience (operating systems, I/O drivers, communication drivers, etc.)
