Summary:
Help us protect Aptiv, our products and our customers from the most advanced threats affecting the automotive industry. Aptiv's Product Cyber Security Engineering is working to protect Aptiv products by implementing industry leading security solutions, technical security assessments, and designing secure systems. As a Cybersecurity cloud engineer / Architect, you will conduct research, participate and lead technical security cloud assessments, cloud and embedded system, software architecture and design tasks. Support security testing to highlight risk and help engineering and manufacturing teams improve the overall security posture of our platform.
Responsibilities:
* Design and develop security architectures for cloud and cloud/hybrid based systems.
* Design and implement cloud-native architectures and designs that will allow requirements to be met with a minimal degree of risk to the organization and with appropriate security control present.
* Responsible for creating and maintaining the cybersecurity system architecture and Product development document
* Provide cybersecurity technical expertise and oversight in software, hardware, and manufacturing development activities (including the management of cryptographic keys) throughout the entire product development
* Supports and provides technical input to product cybersecurity engineers in the development of cybersecurity plans (Cybersecurity Concept Document, Cybersecurity Plan, Cybersecurity Assurance Document, SEMP, CRMP, etc.)
* Interfaces with the systems, software, Integrated Test and Validation (ITnV), manufacturing, and penetration testing teams for cybersecurity testing and reviews/approves results
* Possess a firm understanding of the offerings within Amazon Web Services (AWS) and the Microsoft Azure platforms.
* Ability to learn and guide product teams with new cybersecurity system designs and validation methodologies
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer science, Engineering or similar experience
* 3 Experience with Cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform aka GCP).
* Knowledge of system development and handling of crypto material
* Working knowledge of common and industry standard cloud-native/cloud-friendly authentication mechanisms (OWASP, OAuth, CIS, OpenID, etc).
* Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment orchestration, automation, and security configuration management (such as Jenkins, Puppet, Chef, etc)
* High level of oral and written communication skills
* Excellent organization, communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills
* Ability to communicate and present complex issues and ideas with precision and clarity, adjusting appropriately for the audience; ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's Degree in Computer science, Engineering or similar experience
* 5 years experience with service-oriented architecture for cloud-based services, RESTful programming, and frameworks such as MQTT, AMQP, DDS, and SROS2.
* Experience working with cloud security and governance tools, cloud access security brokers (CASBs), server virtualization technologies, containers, container orchestration frameworks, and serverless event driven architectures such as AWS Lambdas and Azure Functions.
* Experience with enterprise architecture and working as part of a cross-functional team to implement solutions.
* Experience performing threat modelling and design reviews to assess security implications and requirements for introduction of new technologies.
* Experience representing technical viewpoints to diverse audiences and in making timely and prudent technical risk decisions.
* Experience in customer discussions and technical design reviews; supporting cross discipline activities, and participating in end to end life cycle of a product
* Passionate to learn about new security vulnerabilities and develop software solutions
