Summary:
Aptiv is sharing an exciting opportunity for Hardware Architect that will be located in our North American region.
This position will be pioneer all the aspects of hardware architecture activities. The primary responsibility will be to design and establish hardware architecture, deep dive into key components to drive hardware design from feasibility to commercialization.
This individual will collaborate cross-functionally engineering teams to drive the direction of future hardware design, as well as motivate the optimization of current design. He / She will leading the hardware development including providing direction for engineering design, as well as ensure design for manufacturing to meeting appropriate market requirements for functionality, durability, reliability, and cost.

Responsibilities:
- Champion Hardware Architecture Design, implementation and planning - in particular.
- Lead hardware block/sub-blocks diagram, promote reusability, flexibility, and maintainability.
- Lead Hardware Design Verification. Allocate hardware requirements, establish bi-directional traceability.
- Support Product Mechanization Drawing, Product Definition Document, DFMEA and PFMEA..etc.
- Lead and drive the multi-competencies product engineering team to achieve the BOM target.
- Lead the research of new materials, components, technologies, and their appropriate use.
- Collaborate with peer architects and subject matter experts to facilitate delivery of simplified and differentiated Hardware solutions that solve customer problems that balances efficiency, power density, reliability, quality, and cost.
- Participate in the research and analysis of products in the market, as well as for the EE/System architecture roadmap offerings in the Vehicle Electrification domain.
Must Haves (Basic Qualifications):
- Sophisticated knowledge in Analog & digital circuits (MOSFETs, op-amps, switching regulators, gate drivers, etc.
- Sophisticated knowledge in determining electrical and thermal stress of power electronics components.
- Sophisticated knowledge in electric vehicle power conversation technologies, driver circuitry design and PCB layout.
- Knowledge in analysis, simulation, design, development, and testing of power electronics.
- Knowledge in EMI/EMC theory, application knowledge and design/analysis tools.
- Ability to influence and socialize technical ideas across the engineering team.
- Bachelor's degree of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or relevant engineering field required.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships with all functions. (preferable).
- Open-mindedness, creative thinking, willing to take calculated risks, and make informed decisions. (preferable).
- Master's degree in Power Electronics, Automotive Engineering or relevant engineering field. (preferable)
