Job Summary:
The User Experience Designer will create engaging and powerful enterprise application interfaces for Aptiv Connected Services’ suite of automotive quality, fleet management and business intelligence tools. The ideal candidate will have experience designing components for Design systems. This role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and working with cross-functional teams in an agile development environment.
An Aptiv UX Designer:
Helps shape product innovation by bringing a design-centric perspective to product design collaboration, with product managers, software engineers, and stakeholders
Is eager to understand and empathize user’s complex workflows, goals, environments, and touchpoints
Assists in designing and implementing a design system to craft Aptiv’s own design practices
Does what it takes to understand the root cause, no matter how technical (hardware or software)
Presents and clearly communicates design solutions and rationale, and contributes to the evolving product design
Continues to stay active and current in latest design practices
Has strong communication skills and is a team player
Your Role:
Design and maintain a style guide and design system to be used on all ACS digital products
Develop end-to-end experiences with personas, scenarios, journeys and user flows.
Translate insights from user studies, subject-matter experts, and stakeholders into actionable to-do’s
Map out low-fidelity user flows and wireframes
Iterate and rapid prototype designs for user testing and validation
Use Sketch and InVisionapp to create clickable prototypes
Your Background:
3 years’ experience in UX/product design
Portfolio detailing case studies demonstrating solid problem-solving skills and UX principles
Proficient with working within a design system and creating artifacts for the system.
User Interface/visual design experience a plus
Fluent in Sketch and Invisionapp. Familiar with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite and Jira.
Familiar with Design thinking and Agile methodology
Knowledge of best practices in designing for accessibility
