Job Title: ICU RN, Nights

Location: 2351 G Road, Grand Junction, CO 81505

Number of Weeks: 13 Weeks contract

Guaranteed Hours: 32 Hours / Week

Overtime Starts After: 40 Hours

Shift Information: night shift

Position Summary:

Shift: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, 3 shifts a week

On Call Requirements: Rotating on call for low census shifts with permanent staff

Responsibilities:

· Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.

· Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.

· Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

· Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

· Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires.

· Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s Degree in nursing (or its equivalent).

· Current unrestricted licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse.

· Minimum Experience: Two (2) years.

· BLS Healthcare Provider

· ACLS within 6 months of hire

· PALS within 6 months of hire

· TNCC within 1 year of hire
