Reporting directly to the head of Human Resources and partnering with strategic stakeholders to build out Aptive’s workforce development curriculum, this position will leverage proven practices related to human capital development, organizational performance assessments, organizational design, culture and engagement assessments, and team development.
This full-time position will thoughtfully design innovative learning and development programs and experiences to position Aptive’s people to best serve the company and our clients at every stage of their career.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Identify and assess current training needs of the organization through job analysis, career paths and consultation with managers.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to design internal training, identify external training opportunities and desires, and promote workforce development.
- Review existing training programs and suggest enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention and/or ways to meet the changing needs of clientele, the organization, or industry.
- Design, conduct, facilitate, and measure the success of required and recommended training sessions.
- Own relationships with third-party vendors and negotiate best rates and/or contract terms.
- Maintain an approved third-party vendor list and review periodically to keep effective vendors and discontinue vendors that do not meet Aptive standards.
- Monitor and maintain internal training approval process and training budgets.
- Monitor and maintain Aptive retention agreements related to training, certification, and recertification.
- On an ongoing basis, identify challenges and opportunities (such as Aptive operational changes or industry developments) that training could improve.
- Ensure training materials, programs, and delivery methods are current, accurate, and effective.
- Stay up to date on new training methods, techniques, and topics that may benefit Aptive.
- BA/BS in Human Resources, Adult Learning, Organizational Psychology or related humanities field.
- 5-8 years of professional experience with 3-5 years in workforce training and development.
- Demonstrated consultative approach: excellent communication and influencing skills to correspond effectively and credibly, both verbally and in writing, with audiences at all management levels.
- Thorough understanding of training processes and methodologies (such as ADDIE) and change management principals.
- Ability to design and deliver training in person and virtually.
- Extremely organized and detail oriented.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Specifically proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook, and MS Teams.
- Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a fast-paced, complex environment.
- Experience building out LinkedIn leaning learning pathways.
- Prosci Change Management Practitioner or certified in similar methodologies.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS.
- Experience managing a Learning Management System.
- Experience with Jira Service Desk.
- An aptitude for design and presentation aesthetics.
- Demonstrated end-to-end project/program management experience: conception and initiation, planning, execution, performance/monitoring, and project close.
- Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills, including experience owning client relationships with senior leaders.
- Ability to analyze and synthesize data from multiple sources to identify themes and develop compelling recommendations.
