Job Summary
Aptive is seeking a SAS Developer to support a large federal government project. This program will involve enhancement, integration, implementation, maintenance, modernization, and infrastructure support for ongoing operations of an enterprise data warehouse (EDW). Additionally, program scope includes enhancement and maintenance of business intelligence and predictive analytics that are progressive with industry technology advancements.
Primary Responsibilities
- Ensures compatibility between equipment and software, analyzes operational/systems requirements, supports design reviews, and presents technical briefings.
- Engineer systems, including conducting of prototype, proof of concept, or the full implementation of systems.
- Evaluates, assesses, documents, and tests data security and continuity of operations for systems and programs.
- Serves as solutions provider to senior management and professional staff concerning areas of technological development and advancement.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in a related technical field and a minimum of 5 years related technical experience
- At least 5 years of experience performing data manipulation, including text, SAS datasets, and relational database tables.
- At least 5 years of experience writing SAS program source code, including:
- Base SAS (e.g., data step processing, functions and call routines, formats/informats).
- SAS Macros.
- SAS Procedures (e.g., Print, Freq, Univariate, Means, Format, Append, Datasets, Template, Transpose).
- Creating SAS reports (Proc Report, Proc Tabulate, ODS System).
- SAS Access to different products (e.g., Sybase, Oracle, PC Files), as required.
- SAS SQL, as required.
- AppDev Studio, Integration Technologies, and Enterprise Guide, as required.
- Management Console, including Metadata and Workspace Servers, as required.
- At least 5 years of experience with at least one relational database (e.g., Oracle, etc.).
- At least 5 years of experience gathering and analyzing requirements and designing and developing applications in SAS.
- At least 5 years of experience in system testing, including planning, executing, developing test data, and documenting the testing.
- At least 5 years of experience in module or unit testing, including executing and documenting the testing.
- At least 3 years of experience with at least one development methodology.
- At least 3 years of experience in the analysis of applications or multi-module systems.
- At least 3 years of experience in data modeling, data warehousing, distributed processing, utilization of tools for data modeling and logical and physical database design, software integration and/or security issues and techniques as required. • At least three years of experience producing program specifications.
- At least 3 years of experience translating design specifications into computer program instructions, preparing test plans, and conducting tests
