What You'll Do:
We have an exciting opportunity for an Internal Communications Specialist who will assist with content creation and management while providing administrative support to the team. This position is an excellent opportunity to grow your Communications knowledge in the utility industry!
Essential Duties:
Content Execution & Management (50%)
- Consistently update content on Essential's Company Intranet, LED screens, and other distribution channels
- Manage Essential's Company Intranet governance committee and process
- Support creation and distribution of executive communications to enhance an open and transparent work environment ensuring employees are informed about company, employee, government/regulatory, and community efforts
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create and manage newsletters aimed at employee engagement
- Assist with Essential's quarterly town hall meetings, including planning and execution
Content Creation (30%)
- Assist in drafting and reviewing messages to internal audiences
- Assist with taking photos and short videos as needed at internal and community events
- Work with state specialists to coordinate field content and employee stories
- Assist with creation and/or ideation of visual graphics as needed
- Proofread emails, documents, policies, etc.
Administrative Support (15 - 20%)
- Process communications department invoices
- Schedule communications department meetings, and assist with executive meetings as necessary

What You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in journalism, marketing, public relations, communications or a related field
Two to five years of experience in the communications field demonstrating tangible results
A valid US driver's license and ability to drive company vehicles
