Aqua Link is a nationally recognized water resources company specializing in pond and lake management and the manufacturing of pond and lake aeration systems. Aqua Link is seeking a qualified individual to work out of our Bucks County, PA office as a Aquatic Biologist / Pond & Lake Manager.
This is a very unique opportunity for a qualified individual, who enjoys the outdoors and wants to study, manage, and restore ponds, lakes, and streams. At least three plus (3 ) years experience in managing ponds and lakes preferred.
Salary & Compensation
- $50K to $80K (actual salary based upon experience)

Job Duties
Responsibilities for this position are as follows:
- Onsite consultation with pond and lake customers
- Controlling nuisance algae & aquatic plants in ponds & lakes
- Stream, pond & lake water quality monitoring
- Performing fishery surveys using nets & electrofishing equipment
- Lake water depth and aquatic plant mapping
- Installing artificial fish habitats
- Installing water fountains & aeration systems
- Maintenance of water fountains & pond & lake aeration systems
- Water quality data entry & analysis & report preparation
- Assembly of pond & lake aeration systems as needed
Skills & Qualifications
Skills & qualifications that are either required or desirable for this position:
- 3 years experience in managing ponds and lakes
- Associate degree or higher degree in environmental sciences, biology or similar curriculum required
- Course work in limnology, fisheries management, and aquatic plant ecology highly desirable
- Good writing, communication, and organizational skills are required
- Experience in the use of aquatic pesticides
- Experience in the identification of algae and aquatic plants
- Experience in fisheries management including electrofishing a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required
- Experience in operating & trailering boats a plus
- Experience in repairing & maintaining small engines & outboard motors a plus
- Experience in applying aquatic pesticides, aquatic plant ID, performing fishery assessments, and installing/repairing water fountains
Other Requirements
- Must be passionate about the outdoors - especially ponds and lakes
- Must love being around the water - paddle boarding, boating and/or fishing
- Must have valid driver’s license & clean driving record
- Must be physically fit & able to lift 50 pounds routinely
- Must be willing to work 8 hour work day during the summer season when needed
- Must be able to work independently in the field on ponds and lakes
- Must be willing to travel and stay overnight occasionally in the Poconos
- Must be comfortable in boats and around the water
- Must be able to swim
