JOB SUMMARY:  

The Finance Information Systems (FIS) Business System Analyst will collaborate with the Finance organization to understand business needs, analyze and evaluate various IT solutions and drive enhancements that generate business value. 

The role requires a strong ability to translate business needs/strategy into deliverable IT capabilities.  Individual will be responsible for determining requirements and clearly communicating them to stakeholders, facilitators and partners.  The participation in cross-functional teams is required to analyze business problems as well as recommend solutions or enhancements to current procedures or processes.

The Business Systems Analyst acts as the liaison between the business, IT development and operations support teams.  The role requires a high-level of customer focus and business knowledge to ensure the appropriate business needs are clearly defined, communicated and delivered at or above expectations.

In addition to the above this role acts as the liaison between the Finance CPR group, Aqua IT Support and Vendor Support.  The Business Systems Analyst is required to facilitate and coordinate dialogue and schedules between the business and technical teams in order to ensure the application is maintained.   

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Scope development Requirements gathering and organization Planning and monitoring Partnering to understand business problem Create functional design specification for the development team Develop change documentation Perform light system testing Liaison between Finance and Vendor support for PowerPlan application:

Triage and troubleshoot user issue

Coordinate system maintenance

Ensure compliance with IT change management process Other duties as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in MIS, computer science or Information Technology Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Minimum 5 years’ experience supporting ERP applications (Infor Lawson, PowerPlan preferred) Strong leadership ability Ability to translate and simplify business requirements Expert at eliciting, writing and managing user requirements Expert at documenting business processes using best practices and standard tools Ability to organize, prioritize work, meet deadlines, work with a team or individually Strong oral and written communication skills PMP certified preferred
