What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aquatic manager position at Aqua-Tots Development?
We are looking for a full time Aquatics Manager to lead our swim instructors in our Springboro location!
Requirements :
- minimum 1 year in aquatics
- minimum 1 year in management
- a passion for water safety and leadership!
Aquatic Manager :
40 hours per week in school (below is a breakdown of how the week should appear)
Subject to change based on school's need
o 1 hour per week participating in ATD AM call
o At least 1 shift teaching swim lessons per week, but no more than 3 permanent shifts
o 2-4 hours per week for administrative tasks
o 5-10 hours per week training and conducting instructor assessments. Time based on demand

- Responsible for hiring, training, assessing, coaching and performance of aquatic staff
- Responsible for completing training verification form on all new AT-WSI
- Ensure accurate timesheets and hours that reflect the true schedule for aquatic staff
- Verify time clock with scheduled shifts in WIW prior to payroll
- Complete WSI assessments & co-teaching based on assessment schedule and AT-WSI needs
- Create, maintain, and review instructor schedules
- Oversee substitute instructors and resolve scheduling conflicts
- If no instructor is available for shift, it is the AM's responsibility to cover
- Anticipate staffing needs
- Ensure that all AT-MWSI meet certification requirements
- Ensure quality of Aqua-Tots curriculum
- Schedule monthly in-services and choose the in-service topic for the month
- Conduct two safety in-services per year following HQ guidelines
- Follow and implement Aqua-Tots Swim Schools customer service guidelines to ensure an exceptional customer experience for every customer
- Ensure quality and progression of lessons
- Communicate effectively with potential and existing customers
- Build relationships with families, know their names and their children's names
- Address aquatic customer concerns, providing a win / win outcome
- Respond to parents within 24 hours of any reported instructor performance concern
- Use the customer-focused principle in each customer interaction
- Report unresolved aquatic complaints to General Manager
- Maintain a CURRENT AT-MWSI Certification
- Collaborate with MIT when providing feedback and implement changes suggested
- Keep up and utilize all curriculum related information from HQ
- Coordinate and manage pool operations - implementing local State / County Health Department standards (1.1.1 Minor Incident-Aquatic Response) guidelines
