Internship - Contracts Specialist

Summary:

Aquatech is a global leader in water purification systems technology for industrial and infrastructure markets located in the United States and internationally. We support our clients with sustainable water purification systems and technologies that are solving the world's water scarcity challenges.

Aquatech has an immediate need for a full-time Intern to work in our Canonsburg, PA office this summer. The hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Intern will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered a non-exempt employee.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience:

• Junior or a Senior pursuing a Law Degree
• Industry experience with EPC Contractors / End users in industries such as oil and gas, the Power sector, etc. is preferred.

Job Description:

• Understand the contract review and negotiation process with customers/developers/suppliers/partners including but not limited to reviewing terms and conditions and negotiating contracts / POs under the oversight of Sr. VP Commercial.
• Review and redline NDAs, Confidentiality Agreements, MOUs, Teaming Agreements, JV Agreements, and other miscellaneous agreements
• Understand the overall contracting process and recommend procedures/processes to improve the quality in line with company guidelines/policy as necessary to ensure ongoing compliance with the terms of the contracts.
• Prepare flow-down conditions and negotiate Subcontracts and suborders when needed.
• Will provide support to Sr. VP Commercial on other miscellaneous duties or responsibilities as assigned to support the operations of the department.

Skill Requirements:

• Interest in Construction and Procurement Laws / Practice
• Interest in drafting, reviewing, and redlining Construction contracts.
• Experience in reviewing different types of contracts/agreements / POs.
• Specific understanding of legal provisions such as indemnity, limits of liabilities, consequential damages waiver, lien, law provisions, dispute process, etc. is preferred.
• Knowledge of UCC, incoterms, and various risk mitigation measures is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret contract provisions and excellent writing skills including drafting contract provisions and contractual letters.
• Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks or projects.
• Strong verbal and written skills.
• Attention to detail.

Internship:

Aquatech Internships are in the office five days per week, 40 hours per week. The internship program is temporary employment that lasts for a maximum duration of ninety (90) days. Successful completion of this internship will provide you with invaluable skills in the water treatment industry and make a compelling addition to your professional journey.
