Job Summary:
The Purchaser at Aquatic Bath will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless procurement of materials and supplies essential for the production of our bathware products. This position requires a keen eye for sourcing quality materials, negotiating favorable terms with suppliers, and maintaining effective relationships to optimize the supply chain process. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to managing procurement operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price, availability, and reliability to meet production demands and cost efficiency targets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality control, to understand material requirements and maintain a synchronized supply chain.
Negotiate favorable terms, contracts, and pricing with suppliers while adhering to company policies and budgetary guidelines.
Monitor inventory levels and anticipate material shortages or surplus, taking proactive steps to prevent disruptions in production.
Track market trends and industry developments to make informed decisions on purchasing strategies and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of procurement activities, supplier performance, and pricing information.
Resolve any issues or discrepancies with suppliers related to orders, deliveries, quality, and invoices.
Work closely with the finance department to ensure timely processing of invoices and payments to suppliers.
Stay informed about regulatory changes and compliance requirements related to procurement and supply chain operations.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes, reduce lead times, and optimize inventory management.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in using procurement software and tools for tracking, reporting, and analysis.
Solid understanding of market dynamics, pricing trends, and supplier performance metrics.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration across departments and with external partners.
Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong ethical values and a commitment to compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
