What we are looking for:

The Shipping Lead is a critical role within our manufacturing assembly team, and we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill this position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and shipping operations, with a keen eye for detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency. We are looking for someone who can lead a team with confidence and inspire a culture of continuous improvement.

What you'll do:

Primary Responsibilities:

Supervision & Coordination

• Oversee the daily operations of the shipping department.
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely shipment.
• Assign tasks to team members and monitoring their progress.

Order Processing

• Ensure all orders are processed accurately and efficiently.
• Verify that the products meet quality standards and are correctly labeled and packaged.
• Manage shipping schedules and ensuring orders are shipped on time.

Logistics and Coordination

• Coordinate with carriers and freight companies to arrange for transportation.
• Manage import/export documentation and compliance with international shipping regulations if applicable.

Inventory Management

• Track inventory levels and coordinating with the warehouse team to ensure sufficient stock is available for orders.
• Manage the movement of products in and out of the facility.
• Conduct regular inventory checks and reconciling discrepancies.

Physical Requirements:

• Majority of the time will be spent in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures depending on the seasons
• Ability to stand for 7.5 hours a day
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Other duties as assigned

What You will Work on and Who You’ll Work With

As the shipping lead, you will oversee daily shipping operations, coordinating the preparation and timely dispatch of products while ensuring adherence to quality standards. You’ll manage shipping schedules, optimize processes, handle documentation and compliance and troubleshoot issues that may arise. Your role will collaborate closely with the production and warehouse teams.

Role Requirements

• 2 years of order fulfillment, shipping, manufacturing, warehouse or other relevant fast paced experience.
• High School Diploma
• Able to speak, read, and write in English
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience and knowledge using UPS WorldShip strongly desired
