What are the responsibilities and job description for the Jr. Network Technician position at Aqueduct?
Aqueduct Technologies is seeking a Jr. Network Technician for their client in Marlborough, MA for a six-month contractual engagement. The Jr. Network Technician will support numerous projects, provide network infrastructure support and assist the existing team with day to day administration and support.
Essential Job Functions:
- Troubleshoot, resolve, update and maintain all documentation of network and server systems.
- Provide support on projects and tasks to ensure successful completion.
- Provide hands-on support on L2/L3/VRF Infrastructure build out by tracing cables and documenting MAC addresses.
- Will work in tandem with Network Engineering team to complete new Infrastructure buildout.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- 2 years of Cisco network engineering experience
- Experience with network design/implementation, troubleshooting, hardware configuration, performance tuning, etc.
- Advanced analytical and troubleshooting skills with Routing/Switching across Cisco platforms
- Have foundational knowledge of: HSRP, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, MPLS, 802.1x, VPN/VRF
- General knowledge and experience in compliance (including HIPPA)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- CCNA strongly preferred
