ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Documents and maintains records for Workers’ Compensation, OSHA, Short-term Disability, Long-term Disability, Family Medical Leave, Disciplinary Actions and Applicant Flow data in a timely manner.
- Maintain and report accurate employee information in the HRIS system.
- Creates and maintains documentation for HR processes.
- Support HR and TA assisting current employees as well as new applicants.
- Conducts new hire orientations with all levels of employment ensuring the timely and accurate completion of all documents including applications, tax forms, I-9 forms, policy review, OSHA education, benefits overview and enters data into the HRIS.
- Support Safety Manager in safety training tracking and compliance.
- Completes unemployment information request forms, tracking subsequent benefit payments and represents the employer at appeal hearings.
- Track work rule violations and disciplinary actions.
- Participates as a member of corporate project teams as required and follows up as needed.
- Assists in organizing company appreciation events.
- Cross trains on Senior HR Generalist responsibilities including recruiting, legal compliance, employee relations, job description creation and training implementation.
- Performs other duties as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Requires a minimum of three years experience in Human Resources, Business or related discipline.
- Associates Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline preferred. (Experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement)
- Requires computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint along with the ability to navigate the internet and HRIS systems.
- Requires a high degree of confidentiality to maintain employee records and company and personnel information.
- Requires a working knowledge of Federal and State employment laws, Workers’ Compensation laws and Unemployment Insurance rules and regulations.
